Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted (about 400g)
- 1 medium tomato, diced (about 150g)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion (about 40g)
- 1-2 jalapeños, deseeded and minced (to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (about 10g)
- Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tablespoons or 30ml)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Dice the tomatoes, chop the red onion, and mince the jalapeños. Chop the cilantro and set it aside.
- In a mixing bowl, scoop the avocado flesh out of the skins and use a fork or potato masher to mash to your desired consistency (smooth or chunky).
- Add diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced jalapeños, and cilantro to the bowl.
- Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture. Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste. Gently fold until all ingredients are well combined.
- Taste the salsa and adjust lime juice, salt, or pepper as needed.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately, or cover and chill for up to 30 minutes to enhance flavors.
