Ingredients:
- 36 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), finely crushed (about 3 cups) (300g)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (56g)
- 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix (96g)
- 3 cups cold whole milk (720ml)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened (226g)
- 1 cup heavy cream (240ml)
- ½ cup powdered sugar (60g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)
- Gummy worms, assorted (about 4 ounces) (113g)
- Optional: Fresh mint sprigs, edible flowers, candy flowers, chocolate rocks, or other decorative candies
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dirt: Combine crushed cookies and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the dish or cups.
- Make the Pudding Base: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Prepare Instant Pudding: In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until combined. Let stand for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Whip the Cream: In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Combine Pudding and Cream: Gently fold the thickened instant pudding into the cream cheese mixture. Fold in the whipped cream until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Layer the Dessert: Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cookie dirt. Sprinkle with some crushed cookies. Spread the remaining pudding mixture over the cookies and top with the remaining cookie crumbs.
- Chill: Cover the dish or cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Decorate: Before serving, decorate with gummy worms and other candies to resemble a garden. Add fresh mint sprigs or edible flowers for a touch of elegance (optional).
