Ingredients:
- 2 pounds chicken wings (drumettes and wingettes)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon chili powder or cayenne (optional)
- ¼ cup buffalo hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter
- Honey, soy sauce, or seasoning blends (optional)
Instructions:
- Pat dry chicken wings with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Toss wings with olive oil or spray until lightly coated.
- Mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and chili powder in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over wings and toss to coat.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and heat for 3-5 minutes.
- Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary. Shake or turn wings halfway through.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, shaking every 8-10 minutes. Check for crispiness and internal temperature (should reach 165°F/74°C).
- For buffalo wings, toss cooked wings with hot sauce and melted butter in a bowl. For dry rub, sprinkle over hot wings and toss gently.
- Serve immediately with dips, celery, or blue cheese dressing. Enjoy your chicken wings air fryer style!
