Ingredients:

  • 1 package Kraft Deluxe Mac and Cheese (2.8 oz; 80g)
  • 2 cups (480 ml) water
  • 2 tbsp (30g) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp (5g) dried oregano
  • 1 tsp (5g) dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup (25g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese (optional for extra cheesiness)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the macaroni from the Kraft Deluxe Mac and Cheese package. Cook according to the package instructions until tender (about 7-8 minutes).
  3. While the pasta cooks, in a separate pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Stir in the milk, oregano, and thyme. Cook for 1-2 minutes until warmed.
  5. Drain the cooked macaroni and return it to the saucepan. Add the cheese sauce from the box and the gourmet sauce mixture. Stir until well combined and heated through.
  6. (Optional) Stir in additional shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  7. Spoon the mac and cheese into serving bowls and enjoy!
