Ingredients:

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • Salt, to taste (for boiling water)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • .5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • .25 cup unsalted butter
  • .5 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil if using.
  5. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent (about 3–4 minutes).
  6. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Add ground beef; season with salt and pepper.
  8. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5–7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
  9. In another saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
  10. Pour in heavy cream; whisk continuously until heated through but not boiling.
  11. Reduce heat to low; stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  12. Season with garlic powder (if using), salt, and pepper.
  13. Add cooked fettuccine into the skillet with ground beef mixture; pour Alfredo sauce over top.
