Ingredients:

  • 1 (13.5 ounce/400ml) can coconut milk, full-fat preferred
  • 1 (14 ounce/414ml) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 ounce/355ml) can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup (240ml) white rum, or to taste (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Combine: Add coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, rum (if using), cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves (if using), and vanilla extract to the blender.
  2. Blend: Blend on high speed until smooth and well combined, about 30-60 seconds.
  3. Taste and Adjust: Taste the coquito and add more rum, cinnamon, or nutmeg to your liking. Adjust the sweetness by adding a touch more sweetened condensed milk if needed.
  4. Chill: Pour the mixture into a pitcher or bottles. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve: Shake or stir well before serving. Pour into small glasses and garnish with cinnamon sticks or a sprinkle of ground cinnamon. Serve chilled.
