- ½ tablespoon honey, maple syrup, or other sweetener (or to taste)
- Optional: Pinch of ground cardamom

Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, combine the milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, and cardamom (if using).
- Gently heat the mixture over medium heat. Do not boil.
- Whisk the ingredients together as they heat, ensuring the spices are well dispersed (or simply stir well).
- Simmer for about 5-7 minutes, until heated through and fragrant.
- Remove from heat and stir in the honey or maple syrup to taste.
- Pour into a mug and garnish with a sprinkling of cinnamon, if desired. Serve immediately.
