Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef or lamb
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 4 cups beef broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1 cup frozen peas

- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish
- Instant mashed potatoes (for convenience)
- Potatoes (about two large ones), peeled and cubed
- Salt to taste
- Butter (2 tablespoons)
- Milk (1/4 cup)
Instructions:
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef or lamb until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add diced onions, garlic, carrots, and celery to the pot with the meat. Sauté until vegetables are tender—about five minutes.
- Stir in beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to simmer for about ten minutes.
