Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup onion, finely chopped
- ½ cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1½ cups provolone cheese, shredded
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Combine flour, eggs, and salt in a bowl. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 15 minutes.
- In a sauté pan, cook the ground beef until browned. Add onions, bell peppers, and garlic; cook until softened. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Let cool down.
- Roll out dough thinly on a floured surface. Cut into circles using a cookie cutter or glass.
- Place a teaspoon of filling on each dough circle. Fold and pinch the edges to seal, forming tortellini.
- Boil salted water and cook tortellini until they float, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter; whisk in flour until golden. Slowly add milk, whisking continuously until thickened. Stir in provolone cheese and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
- Toss cooked tortellini with the sauce until well coated. Serve hot, garnished with additional cheese if desired.
