Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (42g)
- 1 package (10 oz/283g) mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal (about 180g)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional, 90g)
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles (optional, 75g)
Instructions:
- Grease the 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Once the butter is melted, add the mini marshmallows. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to evenly spread and press down the mixture.
- Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Optionally, top with chocolate chips or sprinkles, pressing gently into the surface.
- Cut into squares and serve!
