Ingredients:
- 1 package (10 ounces/283g) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
- 1 cup (227g) sour cream
- 1 cup (227g) mayonnaise
- 1 package (8 ounces/226g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup (30g) finely chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch of nutmeg (optional, but highly recommended)
Instructions:
- Thaw the frozen spinach completely. Squeeze out as much excess water as possible.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
- Add the squeezed-dry spinach to the bowl and mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- If baking, transfer the spinach dip to a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly around the edges.
- If serving cold, cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, raw vegetables, or in a hollowed-out sourdough bread bowl.
