Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz (45 ml) hot whisky (preferably a blended Scotch or Irish whisky)
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) honey (raw or regular, based on preference)
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 6 oz (180 ml) hot water
  • 1 slice of lemon, for garnish
  • Optional: a pinch of ground cinnamon or a cinnamon stick for flavor

Instructions:

  1. Bring water to a rolling boil in a kettle or saucepan.
  2. In your heatproof mug, combine the whisky, honey, and lemon juice.
  3. Pour the hot water into the mug and stir until the honey is dissolved.
  4. Add a slice of lemon on top and optionally sprinkle with cinnamon or add a cinnamon stick.
  5. Serve immediately while hot.
