Ingredients:

  • 1 can (12.4 oz / 350g) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup (60ml) milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon (14g) unsalted butter
  • Maple syrup (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (optional)
  • Fresh fruit (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Open the can of cinnamon rolls, carefully separate each one, and cut each roll into 4-6 bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Dip the cinnamon roll pieces into the egg mixture, ensuring they are well coated on all sides. Allow any excess egg mixture to drip off.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely.
  5. Place the coated cinnamon roll bites in the pan in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. While the bites are cooking, warm the included icing in a microwave-safe bowl for approximately 10 seconds or until it is easily pourable.
  7. Drizzle the warm icing over the cooked French toast bites. Garnish with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit. Serve immediately and enjoy!
