Ingredients:
- 1 can (12.4 oz / 350g) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup (60ml) milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon (14g) unsalted butter
- Maple syrup (optional)
- Powdered sugar (optional)
- Fresh fruit (optional)
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions:
- Open the can of cinnamon rolls, carefully separate each one, and cut each roll into 4-6 bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Dip the cinnamon roll pieces into the egg mixture, ensuring they are well coated on all sides. Allow any excess egg mixture to drip off.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely.
- Place the coated cinnamon roll bites in the pan in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the bites are cooking, warm the included icing in a microwave-safe bowl for approximately 10 seconds or until it is easily pourable.
- Drizzle the warm icing over the cooked French toast bites. Garnish with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit. Serve immediately and enjoy!
