Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165 g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) salt
- 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sea salt flakes (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
- Mix in eggs one at a time and add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips with a spatula.
- Cover the dough and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, placing them about 2 inches apart. (Optional) Sprinkle sea salt flakes on top.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
