Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups (150 g) graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons (25 g) granulated sugar
- 16 oz (450 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups (480 ml) heavy whipped cream
- 2 cups (300 g) cherry pie filling (canned or homemade)
- Fresh cherries, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of the springform pan to form an even layer.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold into the cream cheese mixture using a rubber spatula.
- Spread half of the creamy mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust. Layer half of the cherry pie filling on top of the cream layer.
- Repeat with the remaining cream mixture and cherry pie filling.
- Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until set.
- Carefully remove from the springform pan. Garnish with fresh cherries if desired. Slice and serve chilled.
