Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups (192g) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 teaspoon (4g) baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt
- 2/3 cup (160ml) warm water (around 110°F/43°C)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 1 pound (450g) store-bought pizza dough, thawed if frozen
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
- 1/2 teaspoon (1g) Italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Extra grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add warm water and olive oil, and mix until a soft dough forms. Briefly knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth.
- Unroll or stretch the pizza dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Roll or stretch the dough into a 9x13-inch rectangle on the prepared baking sheet. Aim for an even thickness.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic (or garlic powder), and Italian seasoning (if using). Mix well.
- Brush the garlic butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly, followed by the Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to turn golden brown.
- Let cool for 1-2 minutes before slicing into breadsticks with a pizza cutter or sharp knife. Garnish with chopped parsley or extra Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately.
