Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3-4 tbsp ice water
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  2. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until dough forms.
  4. Shape into a disk, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced onion until translucent.
  6. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
  7. Stir in ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Remove from heat.
  8. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  9. Roll out the pie crust and place it into the pie dish.
  10. Pour the beef mixture into the crust and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  11. In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk, then pour over the filling.
  12. Bake for 25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
  13. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
