Ingredients:
- 1 (12-count) package sweet dinner rolls/slider buns
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups whole milk low-moisture mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 oz pepperoni slices
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Carefully slice the entire connected block of slider buns horizontally, creating a distinct top half and bottom half. Place the bottom half of the buns into the prepared baking dish.
- Evenly spread the pizza sauce over the bottom layer of buns. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese layer, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the pepperoni.
- Place the top half of the slider buns gently over the filling.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), and fresh parsley until thoroughly mixed.
- Using a pastry brush, liberally brush the entire surface of the top buns with the garlic-herb butter mixture. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered tops.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
- Carefully remove the foil. Return the sliders to the oven and bake for an additional 5–8 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and the tops are gloriously golden brown.
- Let the sliders rest in the pan for 5 minutes before slicing them individually between the buns. Serve immediately.
