Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16 oz / 454g) refrigerated biscuit dough (e.g., Pillsbury Grands! Flaky Layers)
  • 1/4 cup (50g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 ounces (57g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (30g) powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using).
  3. Open the biscuit dough can. On a lightly floured surface, flatten each biscuit slightly to about a 3-4 inch disc.
  4. Brush each biscuit with melted butter. Sprinkle generously with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. Starting from one edge, tightly roll each biscuit into a log. Slice the log into 3/4-inch thick slices.
  6. Arrange the slices cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. While the bites are baking, make the cream cheese glaze. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, then the milk or cream, until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  8. Remove the Biscuit Dough Cinnamon Roll Bites from the oven and let them cool slightly. Drizzle generously with the cream cheese glaze.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
