Ingredients:
- 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets, thawed) (about 17.3 oz / 500g)
- 10 slices salami (preferably thinly sliced)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 oz / 113g)
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened (about 4 oz / 113g)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (15g)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (1g)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut each sheet into 6 squares (3x3 inches).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, Dijon mustard, and dried oregano. Mix until smooth.
- Place 1 slice of salami on each square of pastry. Add a spoonful of the cheese mixture on top of the salami.
- Fold over the corners of the pastry to enclose the filling completely and pinch the edges to seal.
- Place the assembled rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Brush the tops of the chilled rolls with beaten egg to achieve a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
