Ingredients:

  • 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets, thawed) (about 17.3 oz / 500g)
  • 10 slices salami (preferably thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 oz / 113g)
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened (about 4 oz / 113g)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (15g)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (1g)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut each sheet into 6 squares (3x3 inches).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, Dijon mustard, and dried oregano. Mix until smooth.
  4. Place 1 slice of salami on each square of pastry. Add a spoonful of the cheese mixture on top of the salami.
  5. Fold over the corners of the pastry to enclose the filling completely and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Place the assembled rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  7. Brush the tops of the chilled rolls with beaten egg to achieve a golden finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
