Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups (281g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (6g) baking soda
- 1 teaspoon (6g) salt
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips using a rubber spatula.
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion the dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown; centers might look slightly underbaked.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
