Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style recommended)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined but do not overmix.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  7. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  8. Pour in heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer; cook for about5 minutes while stirring frequently.
  9. Gradually whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until smooth; season with salt, pepper,and optional nutmeg.
