Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style recommended)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined but do not overmix.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Pour in heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer; cook for about5 minutes while stirring frequently.
- Gradually whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until smooth; season with salt, pepper,and optional nutmeg.
