Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch (2.5cm) bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (sweet or smoked, your choice!)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste (approx. 1/2 teaspoon each)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). This ensures a good sear.
- In a large bowl, combine the sirloin steak pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Ensure the steak is evenly coated.
- Place the seasoned steak bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving a little space between each piece. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even browning. The cook time will depend on your desired level of doneness and your air fryer model.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature for your desired level of doneness: 130-135°F (54-57°C) for medium-rare, 135-145°F (57-63°C) for medium, 145-155°F (63-68°C) for medium-well.
- Remove the steak bites from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Resting allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful bite.
