- 4 ounces (113g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (57g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup (30g) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (85g) panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Halve the jalapeños lengthwise and carefully remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and pepper. Mix well.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with panko breadcrumbs seasoned with paprika and salt.
- Dredge each stuffed jalapeño in flour, dip in egg, and then coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs on gently to adhere.
