Ingredients:
- 4 boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick (approx. 600g)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 ml)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder (2.5 ml)
- ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (2.5 ml)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (approx. 50g)
- ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs (approx. 25g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (approx. 2 teaspoons)
- 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter (30 ml)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional) (15 ml)
Instructions:
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to help the crust adhere better.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush the mixture evenly over both sides of each pork chop. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a shallow bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, melted butter, and parsley (if using). Mix well.
- Press the Parmesan mixture firmly onto both sides of each pork chop, ensuring an even coating.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for medium doneness. Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the pork chops. Spritz the chops with a bit of olive oil spray half way through the cooking to crisp up the top of the chop.
- Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful chop. Serve this Air Fryer Perfection: Garlic Parmesan dish hot.
