Ingredients:
- 4 ears fresh corn, husks and silks removed (approx. 480g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (2.5ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat) (1.25ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (2.5ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
- 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for vegan option) (15ml)
- Optional garnishes: chopped cilantro, lime wedges
Instructions:
- Stand each ear of corn upright on its base. Carefully cut each ear into quarters lengthwise.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Add the corn ribs to the bowl with the spice mixture. Toss well to ensure each rib is evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the corn ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to do this in batches). Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are slightly charred and the corn is tender.
- In the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush the corn ribs with honey (or maple syrup).
- Remove the Air Fryer Corn Ribs from the air fryer and garnish with chopped cilantro and lime wedges (if desired). Serve immediately.
