Ingredients:

  • 4 ears fresh corn, husks and silks removed (approx. 480g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (2.5ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat) (1.25ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (2.5ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for vegan option) (15ml)
  • Optional garnishes: chopped cilantro, lime wedges

Instructions:

  1. Stand each ear of corn upright on its base. Carefully cut each ear into quarters lengthwise.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the corn ribs to the bowl with the spice mixture. Toss well to ensure each rib is evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the corn ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to do this in batches). Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are slightly charred and the corn is tender.
  5. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush the corn ribs with honey (or maple syrup).
  6. Remove the Air Fryer Corn Ribs from the air fryer and garnish with chopped cilantro and lime wedges (if desired). Serve immediately.
